• What nobody is saying about HCR: We already pay for everybody anyways. ER's can't turn people away, it's illegal (and immoral.) (cont.) #
• (cont). When people without healthcare come and don't pay their bills, the hospitals pass that cost on to the insurance of insured (cont) #
• The insurance companies in turn raise their rates and charge insured folk more money. By giving everybody health care, you're (cont.) #
• Subsidizing that cost in a more cost-effective way. It costs the hospital, the insurerer, and the insured way less money than currently. #
• This leads to "Should we insure illegal immigrants?" WE ALREADY DO. Either they pay for it after service is rendered... or we do! #
• It feels good to get that out. Back to writing fart jokes. #
